When you use Reelback, we collect minimal information needed to provide the service. As you use the app, we store data you provide such as catch logs, fishing spots, weather conditions, tackle used, and pattern analysis data. Your data is stored locally on your device and synced securely when you create an account.
We use your information solely to provide and improve the Reelback service. Your fishing data is used to display your catch history, generate pattern analysis, and enable features like spot tracking. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Your fishing spots remain completely private and are never shared with other users. There is no social feed or sharing mechanism.
Your data is stored locally on your device with encrypted GPS coordinates for your fishing spots. When you create an account, data is synced to secure cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Your fishing spot locations are encrypted and never visible to other users or Reelback staff.
Paid subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. We do not store your payment details. All billing is handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective privacy policies and payment processing standards.
We use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics on our website to understand how visitors interact with reelback.app. These services collect anonymised usage data such as page views, device type, and general geographic region. No personally identifiable fishing data or spot locations are shared with analytics providers.
